Once a hidden and under-the-radar topic, privacy got more attention at the CES gadget show in Las Vegas this week. Startups now volunteer information about how they're securing your data and protecting your privacy when you use their heart rate monitor or cuddly robot.

Google upgrades Gemini 2.5 Pro's already formidable coding abilities

Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro is getting an update to improve its coding The update fixes previous issues with formatting and coherence The model is expected to become Gemini Pro’s first official stable release Google's rapid rollout of new models of Gemini is continuing apace, but the latest version of Gemini 2.5 Pro has some notable improvements that the company claims will put it in play for a while as the first “long-term stable release.” The upgrade also patches up some of the issues that might currently frustrate Gemini Pro users. I tried to make an immersive smart lighting gaming desk setup and failed horribly – here's why

I wouldn't call myself a flashy person, but when it comes to smart lighting, I'm prepared to go all-out. In my home, I'm using everything from standing lamps like Philips Hue's Signe gradient lamp and TV backlight to the Govee Table Lamp 2 to give my home lighting some pizzazz.
